Ilala Lodge Hotel
The ambiance of this family-run, luxury hotel celebrates a unique African history and the inviting decor of the stylish rooms provides the ultimate in modern comfort. The Victoria Falls National Park borders the front of the property and, as such, wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns. Warthogs, in particular, are common visitors and they are sure to delight and entertain you. You might even be lucky enough to witness a herd of elephant feasting on the trees while you relax on your private balcony.
Location
Otherwise known as the closest hotel to the Victoria Falls, Ilala Lodge is located in the centre of Victoria Falls town on the A8, or Mosi-Oa-Tunya road just before the Victoria Falls Bridge. It is approximately a 7 minute walk from the hotel front door to the Victoria Falls entry gate. The lodge is also located 25km from the Victoria Falls Airport which takes approximately 25 minutes.
Accomodation
Offering a variety of room types, the 73 rooms are designed to create a feeling of privacy. The rooms on the upper tier open out onto a private balcony, while the lower floor rooms open onto the lush manicured gardens where you can watch the warthogs graze from the hotel lawn.
